Timelapse of the amazing Tickle Me Plant (TM). Spans 5 days and shot using a Pentax K110D digital SLR with a Harbortronics DigiSnap 2100 set to take a frame each 6 minutes. The senstive plant required night darkness so the lights were set on a timer to come on at 6:00 AM and go off at 9:00 PM. I found it very interesting that the plant would anticipate the night coming and would start to close it's leaves before the lights went out. You can see this near the end of each day in the video. How did it know the darkness was coming? When the plant is outside I can see it would be able to sense the fading light of the evening but it still closed it's leaves inside under the lights. The lights were either on or off, how did the plant know the darkness was coming?

The last clip showing the leaves close is real time full motion video (not timelapse).
